After checking with EA’s advertising and E-Commerce departments, I was able to get full details on the Sims 3 Island Paradise pre-order incentive. The “Island Paradise Community Challenge” only applies to NA, so for those in the UK and Europe, check your country’s Origin site for details on any promotions related to your country.
Players from North America who pre-order The Sims 3 Island Paradise via Origin, will receive The Sims 3 Barnacle Bay world as a bonus. The catch? They have to reach 4,000 pre-orders by June 21st, 2013.
If the pre-order count reaches 4,000 by June 21st, everyone who pre-ordered before, during, and after this community challenge will receive The Sims 3 Barnacle Bay world via download code. However, the only pre-orders that will count toward the 4,000, are those that are ordered today (6/7) through (6/21).
COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: Pre-order today to help the Sims Community get additional bonus content! Here’s how it works:
• If the community hits 4,000 pre-orders of The Sims 3 Island Paradise between now and June 21, EVERYONE who pre-ordered gets The Sims 3 Barnacle Bay World Pack as a bonus!
• You must pre-order inside the June 7-21 window to be counted toward the 4K goal.
• If you pre-ordered Island Paradise at any point (before, during or after the challenge window), you WILL get Barnacle Bay if the community hits the goal. So, make sure to pre-order and tell your friends!
