    It is a cheap computer because I will only be using it for the sims 3 and sims 4 and basic internet use so I do not need anything special.

    HP Pavilion 500-300z Desktop PC

    Windows 8.1 64
    AMD A6-7400K processor dual-core [3.5GHz; 1MB L2 Cache]
    1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 705 [DVI, HDMI, DVI to VGA Dongle]
    6GB DDR3-1600 MHz [2 DIMM ]
    1TB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive

    I'm not very familiar with AMD Processors, so maybe someone can help you on that end, but the rest seems ok.

    And graphics card. Is that a GTX? There is no 705 model for Nvidia graphics cards. You need to double check that.

    Someone asked the exact same question here I'm guessing its you lol? Anyway you will probably be able to run the Sims 4 on low settings, if you're lucky medium. The graphics card is new but it is a very low performing card. Everything else is quite okay so you should be able to run it, just don't expect to be running it on high-ultra. :)

    Here is a little insite.

    If you're able to run The Sims 3, you will be able to run The Sims 4. The game, will automatically detect your graphics card, and specify settings for it.

    The Nvidia GeForce GT 705 is an existing graphics card Alexis :)

    Your Computer should be able to run The Sims 4 on Medium to High Settings.
    Your Computer should be able to run The Sims 3 on High Settings.
    @CherryPop490 I hope this helped.

    Indeed I am. Perhaps on the verge of being Low-Medium, but definitely should run on at least Medium settings.

    I know there is a great deal of temptation to purchase an AMD processor, but if you can find an Intel based one, I think you may be more satisfied.

    I would also check out some of the deals sites like Slickdeals and see how your pricing ranks against those that made the frontpage deals.
