The social thing is does not make me happy. I think its going to be as annoying as memories. If someone likes the social feature good for you. They say that they listen to the fans about this. Im sorry but i have seen every sims page and everybody is kinda complaining about this. The sims 3 showtime looks awesome and I am going to get it, but honestly Im worried because maybe they spent to much time on the social features and forgot about the expansion.

Kiwi_Tea, I disagree with you, because they had created them separably and in my chat with Aaron he said that it was thought about but they would have to spend to much time making it possible and they didn’t want to drop anything else. At the end of the day I don’t think it was slack or poor planning it was a decision made by a team of people. A lot of Simmers are disappointed but we can’t always have what we want. I think it is still a great game and will be able to make it look like singers are part of a band for story purposes, so all is not lost 🙂

To me this really underscored the lack of communication and forethought in designing the game. Sure, once Late Night bands were made as they were, that blocked out singers for a host of reasons – however, that’s not an excuse, it’s an admission that they designed LN bands too rigidly and without room for what is an essential component of both bands: A singer.

It’s sort of emblematic of the bad design strategy they seem to have, where often the game feels cobbled together rather than carefully integrated. I think that slap and dash approach shows through in the messy, buggy code too.

The challenges he said he faced really opened my eyes! There are so many people complaining that they did not want social features and EA is not listening to them but they forget that there are other fans out there who do want social features and therefore it would be unfair to exclude the features! They tried really hard, I mean they are not forcing anything on you! I like the fact that they are expanding their horizons, I heard from a friend today that when you have a strong hate towards change it only gets worse over the years and one you’ll end up being an old person that screams at kids for being on your property! Hahaha! I like to keep an open-minded perspective! You can also tell how much he loves what he does, it’s really inspiring!
