Everyone is calling is a review because SimsVIP titled this as a review. It’s a bad video- I did not enjoy it either. Too much crabbing about the price, not enough fluid exploration of the community.

@nOObiito I don’t disagree that the town although purrtty, is insanely overpriced. That wasn’t my point, my comment was directed at:

“I didn’t feel like dedicating another 12 hours of my time to yet another insanely expensive town”

“but I feel kind of obligated to do videos on TS3 at times, especially when I’m very generously gifted items” -this is exactly what the video felt like, although I found his enthusiasm at having managed to successfully wished himself a girlfriend pretty amusing. it was appeared to be the highlight of the entire play xD

I agree with something said in the “play”, the price is shocking! While I think the town looks nice the price is a turn off. I don’t remember paying that much for Hidden Springs.

I really enjoyed this video. Although it wasn’t a review, which might have been more helpful for me since I don’t own this world (yet), I was laughing and enjoying the commentary a lot. It was simply priceless all the quirky things that happened to Duke Nukem. And Lazy Gamer was honest as he always is in his opinion of the world. I appreciate that. Really, all the store worlds have the same basic features, so a gym is a gym is a gym and an art gallery is an art gallery, etc. Sure, it would have been nice to see all the interiors of the community lots and maybe more about the sim families, but that takes a lot of time to do. I appreciate this video for what it is. Sometimes my game can be so dull–I needed the good laugh from this “let’s play.” Happy Simming! 🙂

Couldn’t agree more. When I’m having fun with a review I genuinely want to do, things turn out much better. Not that I didn’t want to do this, but I feel kind of obligated to do videos on TS3 at times, especially when I’m very generously gifted items. I just don’t always have the free time to do it, and right now I’m entirely too busy with the rest of my life to do more than one full review a week. So yes, have to kind of meet in the middle and LGR Plays is one way to accomplish this 🙂

Yeah, people need to stop complaining about what videos LGR does. I apreciate any of the sims 3 related videos LGR puts out. I actually really like the let’s plays, but to each their own. I’d suggest anyone complaining about it being a let’s play and not a review make their own and upload it.

Just because it was gifted to him doesn’t mean the TS3 store stuff isn’t ridiculously overpriced. So far of all the other store worlds he reviewed he was the most excited about this one.

Would I have preferred a proper review rather than a “LGR plays”? Yes, I would because they often are funnier and more in-depth. Also all the searching around for stuff to show us gets edited out. Still, it’s not his job to review every little thing sims. Most people who upload youtube videos do it because it’s fun for THEM to do.

The videos are a lot more fun when he’s having fun doing them, imho. It was a nice video even though it wasn’t as polished as his other ones. The only thing I regret is that he didn’t show all the wishes you could do with the Wishing Well. This takes time though and there are plenty of other vids on youtube showing them all.
