Wish they could put so much effort in the stuff packs as Lucky Palms etc. Not everybody can download…..the day Sims goes digital is the day I have to be stuck with all my sims on disc.

I’ve stuck with EA for so long by buying all their products, I could pirate them but I choose not too. If EA do go digital then it’s pirating all the way- no more support from me.

Options are important and I believe TS series is not going all out digital when there are so many gamers who obviously purchase and prefer physical copies over digital. Of course some prefer digital over physical copies too but the point is players are given the option of how they want to purchase/play their game.

And to eliminate the ability for players to choose would be pretty silly.

Not everyone has internet either, so it would be more harmful than good to go all digital anyway.

Most likely there will always be physical copies and digital versions for a very long time if not for as long as the gaming industry exists.

I know. I was like is this a promo reel or some sick twisted Supernatural trailer? They all seem like brainwashed corporate zombies. I don’t think even any of them blinked.

catloverplayer Sims 3 doesn’t have securom? That is what ruined my Sims 2 computer. I couldn’t use my DVD rom, nothing would load. I even downloaded “Simcity Societies” for 20 bucks once on EA’s “origin” (wasn’t called that before) and tried to run it b/c there was no disc needed. I got the same exact message I got when trying to load anything. That’s when I knew I had what countless had.

What really aggravated me? I bought every SP/EP and there were people out there with stolen copies with no problems.

Thats why I’m just not in the last year getting into Sims 3. I mean spent close to 2,000 on computers/graphics cards etc for Sims 2 because I was a fanatic and to have it end like that left me really scorned. Badly.

But an addicts an addict. I slowly got the entire collection (- KPST & FLS cuz I can’t find it in the stores) I’ve bought 3 worlds and prolly 200 in simpoints. However, I barely paid for the EP’s. Asked for WA/Pets/TLS for Christmas. Got Ambitions with the base, bought generations and ST but got rewards when doing so making the SP’s like 10 bucks.

Case in point: Securom made me a bitter customer. Always will be. Sometimes I feel like a loser even playing the Sims anymore out of princibale, but I missed Simming so much that Sims 3 & a new comp was my own personal college graduation gift.

Now I’m simming. I still have my Sims 2 folders and computer. I was thinking of one day *trying* to reboot the system and reload windows and reinstall and see if that makes it work.

I refuse to try it on my new computer. Besides, my other computer was built to be a beast for Sims 3. I only bought a new comp because I was moving onto the next Sims generation. That’s how I buy my computers, to conincide with Sims. EG my next computer will be a year or so after Sims 4 comes out.

i would say maybe 2 years…because of money….but i can tell you this….i dont have an MP3 player….and dont want one….i love my music discs and think they sound soooooooo much better…!

That is were the sims is ruined, they’re slowly changing it from a simulation dollhouse of solo player experience to an MMO with credit cards…I hate it.
