To the PC not being available, what did you expect, it is the drawing card for the worlds. There is a small window of opurtunity to download them seperately, but certainly not right at the release of the world. As to cost, Monte Vista is worth the money. 35$ for a World with new build mode, PC and some CAS, plus 1900 simpoints? As worlds go, it is a steal. This world will also strongly appeal to World Adventure fans, while in the minority, they do exist. I can say this is the only store world I’ve ever bought or owned, but it appeals to me, as this really does come down to a matter of personal tastes. While Monte Vista isn’t suited to everyone’s pallete, there are those who will cherish it dearly. So I’m giving it a great big thumbs up!

They should be available separately within time (how much time, though, is another question). The main idea is that people will get impatient waiting for the item and buy the world just to get the item, thus paying far more than they would normally (pizza oven will be 500 points/$5, Monte Vista is in a bundle with 1900 points costing $35. People by MV for the pizza oven? Boom, EA’s just made $30 off each person).

I feel the same way. I would love to get the pizza oven, but not Monte Vista. I mean the world is nice, but just looks like a remake of Champs Les Sims with new rabbitholes to me. Maybe eventually it will be available separately.

I’m getting more and more annoyed with that stupid “Not available for separate purchase” info. Why can’t I just buy the pizza oven or the sauna if that is what I would like to buy? Why do I have to buy a bundle or a world if it’s just that single item I like?

It’s clever marketing and moneymaking, of course but also a very shitty move. The Sims 2 store was not that creative nor so fast with creating new content but at least visisting it didn’t make me feel like I was cheated at every corner.

Sorry for the rant.

Perhaps I’m alone in this, but I don’t see what’s so great about this. Maybe it’s because my sims are rarely gardners and I don’t see what’s so cool about having a cart that works basically as the wine racks from WA and a baker’s stand that uses juice instead. Maybe if it goes on sale for a deep discount, I’ll get it, but until then, I’m gonna pass.
