I bought Aurora Skies because of the Hot Air Balloons. However, I was greatly disappointed…the balloon only lifts off the ground and then appears where you want to land. It was shown on clips and implied that you could float around town and sitesee…NOT!! Also, there are some glitches as well! I sent my character to work and she would never leave the house. No matter how I told her to get there and how many times I clicked on the hair salon, she would not go.

Also, even though I put autonomy low…they still ignored what I told them to do…i.e. take the toddler and put in high chair to feed. They gave the child a bottle and left her out in the rain. Sheeeeesh

I think it looks ok…but tbh I was really hoping for another city world, like Bridgeport. I thought they were going to start a trend after late night and give us a few city worlds. But they haven’t even approached it on the store. Little disappointed…

I thought this world looked weird/not so well designed, but then I googled Iceland and realized it’s actually pretty accurate. It’s got the black volcanic dirt and everything. Also it seems like there aren’t a lot of trees Iceland… It’s just a pretty alien looking environment for a New England girl, I guess, lol.

Maybe it is supposed to be a Coastal Maine Town, not Alaska….Would explain the brightly colored houses better….I honestly didn’t notice them too much at first. Now they’re kind of a chronic eyesore…The Light! It burns…

I’m living in Sweden but I don’t really get any northernish vibe from Aurora Skies other than the northern lights. I don’t even think it’s similar to Iceland. It seems like it’s a very fictional world in a way.. 🙂 The terrain is so dark, and having tropical waterfalls in the middle – close to sci fi 😀 But I want to see more before I decide if I wanna’ get it. Already know I’ll have to edit the colors on the houses…. But lots of water is always nice.

Agreed this does look like CRAP! but i will have a hella of time renovating every single lot to make this something i would actually play
