I think it’s a marketing ploy by EA as many simmers thought Maxis had gone after they were relabled/shifted about. Alot of people on the forums ‘are glad Maxis is back’ so it’s working.

It is interesting they are openly slapping the Maxis label back on the game again, it has been awhile. And even if the Movie themed SP is the last Sp, it may just mean they are phasing them out, after all The Sims didn’t have Stuff Packs and it made EA money. The Stuff pack came out with Sims 2 gen, and hasn’t faired well with Sims 3 (I blame the store) So who knows what 2014 holds, maybe it’s the end of the Sims 3, maybe not. Maybe it is just the end of stuff packs…
