Thanks for pointing these things out to me, now it is going to agitate me.

Even if they only allowed households of up to four sims to live in an apartment in the sims 3 and allowed up to four of them, that would still be sixteen sims on a single lot. Unless I’m wrong EA has never released a sims 3 world with more than one hundred sims on the map, and they have to severally limit the number of objects on each lot so that every world will run smoothly on any computer that can run the Sims 3. EA probably doesn’t want people with the slow machines to end up filling up the apartments with their sims or sims they downloaded from the exchange and than suddenly have it take up too much processing power for their computer to handle. They would also have to drastically increase the number of objects on each of the lots with four apartments on them. Even if they just had two apartments on one lot, it would be difficult to make them look good without adding a lot of objects. They could include a lot more on a single lot, if EA had chosen not to make the Sims 3 an open world, and made it more like the Sims 2 where it dealt only what was happening on one lot at a time.

I put a lot of trees in my first world, and the only way I could get a decent frame rate, without removing most of the lots was to remove a large number of the trees, and I had a fairly fast machine at the time. Trees shouldn’t take up as much processing power as the Sims themselves, since they really don’t do anything.

That was my pot shot at EA. They somehow find it good to cater only to the YA age group and miss the others!!

I also find the idea of Parking Lot as a community lot designation a novel idea for some odd reason…I started wondering about it after seeing all the parking lots in the university clips/images.

And if they added a comic book store, why not add the other things people usually buy there also, like collecter cards/TCGs, Table top gaming like D&D (Pen & Paper)… And thnking on that, why aren’t there card games for kids and adults? Or board games? Family fun night…Or microwave popcorn & Stay-in movie night…but I digress…If they’re going to have nerds, they need to do it right…Or players’ “Big Bang Theory” cast will feel off.

Thankfully they are expansion packs and allows us to choose what we put in our game. It would be nice though to be able to buy a expansion pack and pull specific things.

Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be making a comeback in University Life.

I am in no way a prude. But let’s face it, ALL sims should not be promiscuous! And the new attraction system is a testament to EA’s lack of finesse!! We get it, and are thankful that we have 1000 ways to woohoo and make out, but what about the other finer qualities like FAITHFUL and LOYALTY? C’mon EA! Family Oriented is not making 1000 babies!! Also give us “more” dresses for our YA sims!! Thank you!

But then I’m not into clubbing or big cities or fame… I just think it is neat how players like or dislike various EPs, where one sees a huge improvement someone else sees wasted hard drive space.
