Not that either of those points matter. Ideally it would be best to be a generation behind, like when Sims 3 came out start playing Sims 2, when Sims 4 came out start playing Sims 3. Also how can you predict what will go on sale and when.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted it. The only thing the images had going for them was the rabbit hole restaurant, but then it is a rabbit hole. (I miss the pirate ship from the Sims 2.)

If you don’t already have Lucky Palms, I do recommend you get it. The desert setting is a nice change in environment.
