Plus plantsims is a hidden trait not gene.

So that baby is a part human/normal sim and alien, not plantsim/alien hybrid then.

I understand all this. It’s the same way for aliens and humans or any other occult. It’s nothing new or revolutionary. It’s also not a new way of creating aliens since you need to start off with an alien in the first place. That’s what’s confusing me. Why is this newsworthy?

When you harvest a forbidden fruit from the ground you have a chance for it to become a plantsim child with 100% plantsim DNA. Now when an alien harvests a plantsim baby the infant will be an alien with around 50% alien DNA in it, thus becoming an alien infant. If the percentage of alien DNA in the sim harvesting the forbidden fruit is around 21% then the alien DNA transferred to the infant by the harvester is so diluted that the baby pulled from the ground will be a plantsim with a small percentage of alien DNA.

I still wish we could have actual hybrids in the Sims 3 that could inherit the powers/abilities/needs of both nonhuman parents (though not necessarily all of them) without extremely rare glitches and risky mods. Oh well.

Good to know that we have one more way to add an alien baby to family. But still…

When there isn’t enough Alien DNA to grant them “Alien powers”, they remain a PlantSim with a small %-tage of Alien DNA.

The reason this was important enough for me to post is because the forbidden fruit offers a new way to create aliens. 🙂
