And that was the Tale of the Pizza from Maxis…
Not kidding to make up for the confusing image some people have since the Maxis logo is back since University Life. Maxis is not a studio anymore but a brand. Maxis has 4 studios: Maxis Emeryville,Redwood shores,Montreal and Salt Lake City.

Emeryville is the original Maxis and at the moment it it unknown if they are working on the Sims 4. However some team member from Simcity are working on the Sims 4 so there is a chance they are helping the Sims Studio.

Redwood Shores (Sims Studio) is a new team on the campus of EA itself and took over the Sims development after Bon Voyage (Sims 2)

Salt Lake City originaly made the console versions and made Showtime,Supernatural,Universitylife and Info the future

Montreal they made the Stuff packs until town life + diesel. They are now working on different games outside The Sims serie

To make a long story short. There are working multi teams under the Maxis label. Its not 1 studio anymore. While Emeryville and Redwood shores are only 45 min away from each other I hope they are working together. But at the moment only the Sims Studio is working on the game.

Well now they’ve said that there wont be a Sim Studio with 4. Just Maxis as one with more control. So I wonder how that will go. Hopefully better becuase they can focus and make great ones. And I just really hope that they arent going to milk us out with the store, which they are already looking to be doing.
All I know is that I want my pizza! I wanna know what it looks like, hope it has toppings that we can all like, and thats its well done so we can all like that taste! 😉

I didn’t red that comment at the time I typed the reaction. My bad. But still im not defending Maxis or encouraging Maxis at the moment. Im just on the fence and curious for what comes. I don’t want to take conclussions and everything I say doesn’t mean it is right. Its the way I look at it and I could be totally wrong. Im not a animator myself nor a game developer.

However I don’t agree with consistently producing poor quality games. Maybe they don’t make the best games out there, its still not a cheap ass B-game. The idea’s maxis have with The Sims 3 expansions were great, but they were poorly incorporated…

I actually red a rumour that the Sims 3 expansions are scripted in 2 different ways, since 2 studio’s make the expansions and they don’t really communicate with each other. This explains why the Sims 3 expansions didn’t work together like the Sims 2 expansions did. The best expansions imo were Ambitions and Island Paradise, both original and new expansions. Afterall the best expansion packs were made by The Sims Studio (now Maxis Redwood Shores).
Its actually quite funny that when Maxis started to product 3 EP’s are year, 2 of them were from EA Salt Lake city and only 1 of them was from The Sims Studio. And the one that the Sims Studio make was always the better one…

I Really Think They Should’ve Told Everybody About Sims 4 This Year Because Its A Long Wait And They Not Really Giving Us Any Good Information We Want To Know…..Plus The wait For The Game Is So Long Ugh….I Prolly Would’ve Still Been Into Sims 3 but i cant because im so ready for Sims 4

As has already been stated, they don’t need to make new animations for every car. Like someone pointed out, if they can make 10 different fridge door models have the same animation, they can do that with cars too. And Sims 2 having car door animations has to do with Sims 4 because a game should get BETTER with each installment, not worse and take details away. Also, people are bringing up Sims 2 because if car animations were possible then, they’re definitely possible now! And people don’t hate Maxis/EA because they need to make money, people hate them because they consistently produce poor quality content for extremely high prices.

And a better example of our pizza woes would be asking for pepperoni on your pizza and the chef saying “that might take a lot of work, I may or may not do it” Sounds ridiculous, right? That’s because it is.

I don’t think you should believe anything they say. There is still a PR team behind it which says what you can and what you can not say. Its not their choice to decide which questions they can answer. And I can understand why Graham got kind of frustrated seeing his reaction from last week…

I would feel the same if your hele community is thinking you are lazy, but you want to show the difference.
