Im sorry I need to correct my self. First of all pre orders are only a very small indication; since people can place multi pre orders. Thus the number of pre orders won’t always translate in sales. Second of all if EA wouldn’t want us to forget on the Sims 4 for now, why aren’t they release information? Why don’t they have a huge marketing campage. The gaming industry has changed a lot over the past years and we can’t compare the situation from the Sims 3 with the situation from the Sims 4 now.

But still I shouldn’t place a pre order how good the game likes. Everybody here knows how games can turn out on release…

I mean they want people to forget the Sime 4 for now so they can work on the game futher without the continue pressure and releasing information. I don’t know how important pre orders in the states are since in Europa the only thing you need to do for a pre order is to put down your name. It is possible to place multiple place orders and thus they are kind off useless >.>. Why would you actually think they are releasing information on base of pre orders? If you were right there would be a chance the sims 4 got cancelled since they are not enough pre orders.

Reading these comments are hilarious. i personally need more info before i dole out any money for Sims4 right now it seems like fairy-tale with a bunch of opinions and some facts…but really all you can do is wait. so im not busting my head over it. =P

Lol, as if they want people to forget about The Sims 4. What a stupid thing to say. Why are you so upset because people want more information. It’s only natural since The Sims is one of the best selling game franchises in all of history. I for one am upset about the lack of information. They’ve already put the game out for pre order. We all know what happens to a game if the pre orders are crappy, they pull resources. Lack of information equals lack of interest which equals a decline in pre orders. Pre orders are the devil. It can go both ways less resources for a lack of pre orders and if they get a crazy amount of pre orders they push the game out with less content. I’m kind of babbling here but what makes me even more angry is how they take out content and only give it to people who pre order like they’re somehow more special than other people who fork out money for the same game at the same price.

Most of those things are rumors. I shouldn’t be to afraid of the state of the game. The Sims is one of the flag ship titles of the EA and it isn’t surprising there are so much changes. EA just switched from CEO and they got a HUGE backslash from their fans after the failure of Simcity and Battlefield 4. I think they want people to forget the Sims 4 so they can work on the game futher and start fresh all over again. But well maybe im just being optimistic. More information won’t make the wait shorter and only hurts EA them self.

It’s not just the fact that we are in the dark that is upsetting, it is the potential reasons why no interesting or new info has been released. All other sims game had tons of info out by now and they didn’t wait for major events as i said before. This is a huge red flag, it makes me wonder what is going wrong in their offices. They lay-offs and one of their former developers saying the team is mismanaged are big sign posts that something is not right, and the lack of new info confirms it.

What really bothers me is the fact that colors in the wall will affect the mood of a sim.
This seems a bit too much in my opinion, what if I choose a color that I like, but my sim will act crazy on me because of that specific color. In a sense the sim will command me, and not me commanding them…

Well yhea that isn’t actually my point. My point is where the urge for new info come from. Why would you even want to get hyped 7 months before release? I also want to know new information, but I know if we get hyped now it will go away in some months. A hype is only temporarily and you need to build it up in de last months before release. mark my words: The e3 wil be the next big reveal.
