Oh and to clear another thing up: Not defending EA their action. Just pointing out EA isn’t really acting very different from other game companies. I don’t get the whole pre order shizzle but people always need to complain about something.

First of all lets make this clear: I am not defending their actions. People just need to calm down. Maxis obviously want the game to be forgotten at the moment and with most of the games it would by know. Only because the Sims has such a big community it is still in the spotlights and people are digging everywhere for information. Some people here have really an unfounded argument and I know it is the internet but still.

The most important thing is: “pre-order the game with the little info we have “. pre ordering is a chose. People tend to act EA is holding a gun against their head and threating them. The fact is EA never tried to sell us the game. They only said “You can pre order the game now” at Gamescom, but since then they NEVER mentioned the pre order thing again. Heck its not even on their website. The only thing EA wanted was the game to be out of the spotlights :”). If people really don’t see that they are just blind. Actually some people thinks EA is trying to pick on them lmao. Its just not the truth.
If they really wanted to sell us the game they would have started a campagne, but they didn’t huh?

Most of the people around the world want the game to launch right now. And a lot doesn’t even know the Sims 4 exist, the internet is not the whole world. People are screaming for information the whole time and it looks like especially the Sims community doesn’t have patience. Once again the game is launching around October that is 7 months away. You really believe they would pull a campagne 7 months before launch? People need to look at other triple A games and their marketing (Just look at Driveclub, Watch Dogs, GTA5, Infamous, . You can have your opinion but seriously please have a realistic opinion.. If I call EA greedy for not putting all the 1 expansion from the Sims 3 in the Sims 4, the only one who is greedy am I.

And I need to deal with what? I think you should deal with the situation and if you are not, you can’t change a thing. The game is not coming earlier and some people here are acting like a child who doesn’t get their way.

The game is revealed to early and got delayed. Fine. But then you could also expect a delay in the marketing. Yes I agree they should communicate but people also need to have their patience. Besides whats the point of releasing info right now?

Not everyone is solely focused on game content. Some of us enjoy learning about what’s going on in the studio! I was personally very excited to hear The Sims 4 would be recorded at Abbey Road, it’s an amazing studio!

They keep thinking that we want information about the production team’s personal lives, technical stuff (we don’t really care about) and music production, when I actually want info about THE ACTUAL GAME. I.e. content, interactions and more visuals of hoods, buildings and everything else. You know…stuff I actually are interested to know more about.*

Glad to see that they’re taking the music to professionals. Not to say EA aren’t professional, but mainly everything that’s come out of Abbey Road has been utterly brilliant, and I’ve no doubt that The Sims 4 soundtrack will be no different 🙂

As a side note, I’d love to see some behind the scenes footage. You know, the inspiration behind the pieces; the creative process; writing the actual music etc… I think I remember Florence + The Machine doing a video of their time in the studio and it looked amazing 😀

The score’s just the music written on a stave (or staff, or just a sheet of music). It’s understandable how people don’t understand when they don’t study music, it can get quite complicated at times! 🙂

Wonder if it’s being recorded there right now or will be recorded. Either way I’m hopeful as this is a good step forward.
