I mean I could be wrong but n the trailer at Gamescon the walk style is something you choose in CAS. They might have a mopey walk or something when sad but the basic walk styles are chosen in CAS.

Ideally, if they are showing the goth family, I would like to see them make Bella and Mortimer, give each sims some traits (so we can see some of the traits used in the sims 4), and then, have Bella and Mortimer make a baby using the make baby interaction (to see genetics in action). They could then show off the newly made babies, Cassandra and Alexander as toddler-children and teens.

This would be a good way of showing of the Goth family

The CAS “snooty, swagger” etc. walk styles are probably for average moods or for the default state of the sim, but I’m pretty sure these will change when the sim is experiencing an emotion that is extreme or which would normally have an effect on his/her walk style 😀
