I agree the presentation was shockingly bad but you can NOT compare games like that, The Sims series has no set path so they need to dumb down the aphids to include more features, the characters can be fully customised where as most other games have set characters, also don’t forget that the other games aren’t in an open world where loads of other things are happening at the same time, there is a set story in them games so the graphics can look amazing. Plus most of them were for PS4 and Xbox One and their specs are much higher then most computers people who play the sims franchise have.

It really was underwhelming… 🙁 Especially among all the other high-adrenalin showcases, TS4 stood out in non-flattering light.

And oh boy, when you see the graphics of TS4 next to other modern games… yikes!

yeaa… a spanish videogame blog in the ubisoft broadcast said (when a freak, mean, cat-beater lady character appeared at the beggining of far cry game presentation video) “every conference has a weird lady in them… in the sims presentation…etc)

Don’t get me wrong – I agree the presentation was pretty dire.. They should have shown the Ollie/Babs video instead. Better yet, an actual gameplay demo like some of the other developers were doing…

As a Sims fan, I wasn’t excited about the presentation. The graphics looked more cartoony, and smarter sims? They behaved aoat in the same manner as they do in the sims 3. And if EA doesn’t learn from past and current mistakes, this will be just as glitchy as the sims 3, if not more, and of course, their record with patch fixes (breaking more of the game as well as not even fixing important bugs) isn’t all that great, and that trend could continue with TS4.

Not impressed. I miss the original maxis team and Will Wright.
