No, all this is wrong. The community can be changed to a Residential place. I actually just did it, yes! I wanted the park to be a home and then turn the building to a treehouse. So far, fantastic success. 🙂 – Ocean Breeze

That’s exactly what we are going to face next… You can Tell by the way in which they highlighted “you will have to be able to afford clothes”….I’m thinking I’m a gazillionaire in the Sims 3,?!! Afford? …..oh so no more cheats! I gotcha, just EA playing the game for me again

Wow. Do you played the Sims 3? Because I’m not sure.

1) You’re right. Not for now in the base game. I’m optimist to see it in a free patch. Tattoo, 1×1 ladder, more patterns for the CASt, memories, astrological sign, diving board, the Vehicle enthusiast trait… were all added in the free patches, not in a add on. Ok, they were added in the add-on because the free patches were included in the add-on.

2) Perhaps you’re right. Perhaps not. EA’s communications are all but clear. They are really confusing. I wait more information and ideally a gameplay trailer that show the system.

3) See point 2.

4) I seriously doubt about the 25 lots so I want more information before to be more assertive. From what we know, the confirmed community lots are at least a park, a gym, a museum and a nightclub (see the post from SimVIP from June 19th). If we have 8-10 community lots, that make 15-17 lots for premade houses with Sims, premade houses without Sims and empty lots.

5) The name change. How can you say that it has much less powerful fonctions? We know nothing about it. No screen of the graphical user interface.

6) You’re serious? In August 2013, we had no screen of kids, teens, seniors, no screens of the cars. We had a CAS with 4-5 hats, 3-4 hair cuts, only 4 walking styles… A few weeks ago we only had a picture of 6 traits. Now, I imagine that as we don’t have a picture of the 5 districts, you are convinced that EA lied to us and we will have one district? That we will have no careers, no favorites… as they don’t show us these things?

7) As everyone point, we will have 5 traits. The Sims 3 had 61 traits. For now, for the Sims 4, we know 35 basic traits, 10 bonus traits (one by aspiration) and around 20 rewards traits (one by each option of the aspirations). For a minimum of 65 traits. Somes aspiration will have 3 options. So probably that we will have more that 65 traits. Who we are to say that in the next 4 years, EA will not add a way to have a 6th and a 7th traits in some or other ways?

Second, tell me that you love equally all the world of the Sims 2 or the Sims 3. Everyone have a favorite theme no matter it’s a futurist world, a dark one or even a rural one. This is the kind of subjective things that can influence our perception. I don’t like the pink tree but I like the details level that is far better than in the Sims 3 : elevated sidewalk, electric pole, public benches and bin outside lots, the duck on the water, the variety of streets, some with sidewalk on one side, some with sidewalk on two sides…

It is a question of competition. Even GTA V has more competition. The last ''serious'' competition for the Sims was Singles 5-6-7 years ago.

Oh and one more thing, please no more policing my comments. I do not have a problem with you nor do I know who you are so when I say this I am not being mean/disrespectful. You are on most peoples posts stating what they are doing and why they should not do it like overreacting. It is rather disturbing how proficient you are lol. I am hardly one to perceive in a certain light due to the flamboyant and grandiose nature of my post in other words-dramatic. Those who are long time frequenters of Sims Vip are familiar with this and to tell me I am over-reacting in a serious manner is asinine.

and I am hardly over reacting :(. No being able to play the game how I want right off the get go. I am not asking for a edit world feature right away but not being able to change public spaces is going to be handicapping the game for many players like me. Builders in a way are getting the shaft. If I only could take the amazing build tools of Sims 4 and move them to Sims 3 then I would be quiet. Build in Sims 3 and do game play in four ;/.

Public spaces were not nesc. in Sims 3 because you were able to create a public space anywhere so to speak with the add lot tool.
Being able to edit the world from the get go would be nice instead of having to wait again. It was very restrictive not to be able to add lots/move lots when the first game came out. This will be EVEN MORE SO due to the fact of how many less lots we have. They speak of how it will be all nice and dandy in the future due to available add ons in the future but is down the road.
