Some people believe dogs cannot physically look up…obviously those people have never had a dog! They made a joke out of it in the movie Shaun of the Dead

I agree on a lot of what you said, and I believe they really are working on making this a great base game. The base game is the most important because if it is implemented well then the rest of the expansions will follow suit. I liked having an open world and I would have liked a true open world which means no unnecessary rabbit holes, but I care more about the sims and how they act and that’s really what Maxis is focusing on. The sims are the heart and soul of the franchise and if they are lifeless robots then the game gets boring, just look at the sims 3. The sims 3 had a lot of issues but it’s biggest one where how robotic the sims where, and I think they have fixed that with the AI and emotions in the sims 4. People think the emotions aren’t going to be any different then previous games but after reading this article and they way he describes it, I see what the guru’s have been trying to say but failing at. The sims in the sims 4 are what is really going to make this game great.

I was confused about the picture that was of the park, it had a caption that said, “Sims can look up now, unlike dogs.” What does that mean?

It is so worth the read, and trust me I get why you are cautious. This article surprisingly gave me more hope this game will be great and also elaborated on things we already know like genetics and the AI of the sims.
