SimsVIP is NOT a Forum Site, it is a News-Collection Site that allows comments on their articles.
There is a (soon to be heavily segregated) forum Site available, so if you only want to have discussions with people who share you’re opinion about a Game that very few of us have even seen let alone played, you are more than welcome to do so.. over there.

Oh, and Simply, Monarch isn’t being rude here.
At worst they are being Blunt. Big Difference.
Mobiz was voicing their concerns about what they perceived as TS4s lack of Sandbox-style or Familial gameplay, and Monarch responded that they had found several sources (who they knew had played the game) that confirmed Sandbox-style & Familial Gameplay as still being in the Game.

To quote Monarchs last paragraph: “do you really think that me stating my opinion about your so-called opinion is just as bad as insulting other people and calling them names?”
That sentence practically defines the line between a rude comment & not-rude comment, and Monarch stayed firmly on the ‘not-rude’ side.

Is the word ‘people’ an insult now? People like him. People who use ‘opinion’ as an excuse for treating pure speculation as facts. Choose one you’d prefer…

And how exactly am I rude or stereotyping? Darling, I’ve been discussing with people who bring up arguments and statements like his for a year now! I’ve been discussing with people that did the same 6 years ago, when Sims 3 was in development!
I think I do have enough experience with his kind of statements by now to say that there are quite a few people who do the same things he does. That is not stereotyping!
If I am reason enough for you to leave the internet, then I’ve got a bit of advice for you: Keep away from comment sections in general, because they really do tend to be quite rude.

Are you serious ?
I guess stating your opinion this way, is so wise and mature now…

A whole new Generation of rude stereotyping ruining the forums everywhere, once again.
So glad I have an actual REAL life, because the internet is going down a cesspool these days.

You people always bring up your opinion with these topics, but how much of an opinion on the game can you really have? You can have an opinion on the gameplay you’ve seen, but if you really see random 10-20 minute clips as representative for the whole game, you might want to think about that again.
Adding the words ‘for me’ and ‘I would have’ does not change the way you treat your opinion.
You said, “a sandbox game doesn’t pigeon hole you into a play style”, as if that was a fact, when it isn’t, because you really do know next to nothing about how the actual game will feel like when you play it. You know, on the contrary to your ‘opinion’ that you treat like a fact, I’ve read about how many possible interactions there are between siblings and parents and their children as well as family interactions in general from people that have actually played the game and really are capable of having an opinion about it. So if you, who has not played the game, have enough facts to know that the focus is not on family, how is it that other people, who have played the game, can report things like that?

And finally, do you really think that me stating my opinion about your so-called opinion is just as bad as insulting other people and calling them names?
Look, if you are allowed to state your opinion about the game and treat your suspicions about the final game as a fact, then I’ve got every right to tell you and others my opinion about your comment!
In your words: If you don’t like it, then that’s your problem, not mine!

If you don’t like it then that’s your problem, not mine. I have seen enough game play video and have enough facts to know that the focus is not on family or legacy style play. It’s all about rotational play and emphasizes the interaction between YA/Adults.

I always hear you whining about how people can’t like a game without being bashed, yet here you are replying to just about every comment that one could consider to be negative.

Interesting story. Tell me more!

I guess what constitutes a “Sandbox” game for them is different than for me. To me, a sand box game doesn’t pigeon hole you into one play style. That is just how I look at it. I would have personally left out the “Sandbox” portion of that. The rest is fine.

SimGuru Daniel just confirmed that an hour ago.
