Well, I just know from my experience… last year I got hacked and had over a dozen failed purchase attempts on Origin. My account was frozen and it took me a few days to get it unfrozen. The same exact problem was happening to people six months later – with Origin never warning anyone of this issue the whole time. With amazon, I’ve NEVER had fraudulent purchases made on my account. So just from personal history, I’d rather purchase from amazon.

Add a US billing-address to your account and you are good to go. Did this years ago and never had problems with digital orders, even if my credit card is registered in germany.

As I understand it, many major retailers got hacked over the holidays, including amazon. Hacking and fradulent activity isn’t exclusive to EA/Orgin. Amazon probably gets hundreds (if not thousands) of hacking attempts a day – just like your bank or credit card company. Unfortunately, it’s another thing consumers must be aware of when doing any online shopping anywhere.

I think it’s smart business for EA to have codes available a different online stores. Everyone has preferences for where they want to make their purchases, for various reasons.

I’m in the UK and its not on the amazon for UK this isn’t fair as I’ve had problems with origin it would b better for me if I could use amazon instead km

Same. They give you gift card money just for trading in old books, movies, games, etc. I’ve got a stockpile with nothing to spend on.

Yeah we get it but it removes the whole entire dealing with money with Origin which is the whole problem.

For foreigners it’s actually more expensive too 🙂
This game pack for Mexico is $12.99 in Origin
