That’s true that they have tentacles versus actual hair strands. So, I guess it would have been better for these aliens to have some sort of tentacle hairstyles to choose from.

Also, humanoid means to be resembling of humans. So, when I think of humanoid I usually think two legs, two arms, walk on two legs, have two hands. Stuff like that. So yes, I think asari, turians, salarians, and drell can be called humanoid. Unless there’s a science behind it that would label them as not being so.

Although if it somehow interferes with aliens disguising themselves as humans … I wouldn’t want to give up that fun little wrinkle.

Take for example Mass Effect. Asari, salarians, turians, etc, they don’t really have any hair.
