The creator has taken all of the objects, removed all of their textures, changed the colours and then put the new textures in a mod file so the game reads those instead of the official tree and plant textures.
It’s a very easy , but time consuming, thing to do that does not need any special or secret code.
Don’t use it as an excuse to get your hopes up about seasons.
If I wanted to, I could make all of the trees blue and the grass purple.
