It could have caused problems. To try and fix it, move your mods folder to your desktop, or somewhere else safe.
Next, open Origin and right-click on the Sims 4 logo. There should be an option to Repair Game. Click on that and Origin will check that your game has all the right files and that none are damaged.
When it is finished, run your game with no mods in it and see if ti is working properly and exit without saving. Put your mods back in and then see if your game is still working properly.

i have a problem in game with this update i cant play my household but i didnt know that u had to take out your mods… i didnt and im wonder if this problem is the reason why its not working

i need help. my sims 4 isnt working in game from this update! i press play household then it loads as if it is going to bring me but then it just takes me to the 4 different worlds and i cant seem to fix it either can origin ea help.!

Yeah, the older the save the higher is the chance for it to be corrupted. Sims 3 taught me to always create a new save file after each play session and then move the one before that somewhere else on my hard drive. That way you always have a back-up that isn’t that outdated in case the save is corrupted during one play session or an update.

I didn’t start doing that with Sims 4 yet because the only saves I’ve lost so far were lost due to my own mistakes. But it definitely made my life a lot easier when playing Sims 3.

Thanks for the tips. It happened for all of my saves at first. Then I followed Crincrit’s advice on how to set the game to “factory settings” by taking the Sims 4 folder, renaming it backup, and starting my game fresh to create a new Sims 4 folder. I then added back saves one by one and found that all but one of my saves worked well. The corrupted one, of course, was my biggest, longest running and most dear to my heart game … not sure what happened to it, but I have since just deleted and started over from scratch. *sigh*. I will check and see if EA would like me save file – I think I still have it on a backup I made “just in case.” Thank you!

Could they be there out of nowhere ’cause I enabled the “bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement” cheat? And you’re definitely right about the career thing, ’cause there are more thing but they only have got something to do with certain jobs. (btw, thx)
