At the cost of it actually RUNNING, something TS3 could barely do, even on my over-equipped machine. Why do so many players forget how buggy TS3 was, which was largely attributed to bloat created by open worlds, story progression, and create-a-style? It was pretty much impossible to play that game without at least a couple of tuning mods running in the background.

Who is “we”? Aside from a few minor things I’m satisfied with the game so far. It’s my favorite version of The Sims series, and I’ve been a player since The Sims 1.

I still think this will be the last one if they don’t change the way of developing a game based on THEIR VISION (and just hearing the Simmers… yeah right)… I think it’s time for another company to take the place of EA-Maxis and create an awesome game based on what the GAMER REALLY WANTS… hope it’s just a matter of time, just look what happened with SimCity vs Cities: Skylines.

i know and im not saying that i aspect eveyone has to like eveything about the game, but i just get fed up of some people always complaining and picking fault in everything . it its really that bad to them then why do they play it ?

yeah that is very true , i think people aspect to much , we are not going to get everything we had in the sims 3 straight away. there is always going to pros and cons as there is stuff i like better in previous sims games and stuff i like better in the sims 4 , so i try not to comparer it too much . TBH i did not really like the cartoon look of the sims to start with but not i got use to it i quite like it.

People starting blindly hating on TS4 right out of the gate, and many of us predicted that once the game got on its feet it wouldn’t be the end of the franchise as so many people predicted.

I remember when a few of the first renderings of the sims hit the internet back in ’13 there was this knee-jerk uproar that they looked too “cartoony” compared to TS3 (not true). Then when the first screenshots of came out people vented that the graphics appeared to be a drastic step down from TS3 and akin to a mobile game (again, not true). Within a few months of release much complaining subsided within a few months when players realized it wasn’t so bad (well maybe not the Toddler Brigade) and actually performed on most computers like lightening compared to the clunky and buggy TS3.

A year later, and with a regular cadence of bug fixes and fresh DLC, and game is hitting its stride. I pre-ordered Get Together yesterday and I’m looking forward to seeing TS4 flourish.
