Since you are always the one who will decide which Sims are in a club, you’re never in danger of having the game randomly add the wrong gender to a club. The rules really are more of a convenience thing for players because you can’t always know the traits, careers, etc. for every Sim. With gender you can. It’s a matter something not being there, simply because it wouldn’t serve any actual purpose.
