Again, I’ve personally been VERY respectful up until 2 months ago. So really this is being read into more than I intended for it to be. I was voicing frustration. BOTTOM LINE. I have since put my nerves away and accepted that I will just have to wait and see if I want to continue to play the game. That’s a given. I think where we keep disconnecting is when I read your replies, I see you kind of berrating me over having an opinion. I WANT this to be the best game in the series, and content aside, I DO think that this is infinitely times better than Sims 2. I’ve logged hundreds of hours on Sims 4. When I am passionate about something, it’s just that. Nothing more, nothing less. You just must be much more patient than I and that is perfectly fine 🙂 Again, all love here, didn’t come here to fight with anyone. Was just voicing an opinion. Not everyone is going to be jumping for lollipops just because someone says “jump.” I’ve said my piece(s) and I am good now. I actually was over this conversation the minute after posting it. No hard feelings and I appreciate your point of view 🙂

I haven’t called you any names or accused you of anything. I didn’t say that you were immature. I didn’t say that you weren’t entitled to an opinion. I said that human beings do not respond well to negativity, referring to the actions of many in the fan base. And speaking of opinions, mine is that it is already the best in the series. I loved Sims 2, played it for ten years, but I like Sims 4 better. I do not want it to be a clone of Sims 2. And I am just as entitled to my opinion as you are of yours. As far as the news thing, I could care less, but as I said given how some of the “fans” act, it is no surprise that they don’t communicate more. Disrespectful you say? You have to give respect in order to receive it.

I am going to respectfully remind you that I am entitled to my opinion. You also must have missed the part where I said I had been rooting for this game since it’s inception and have only JUST now become frustrated at how they are handling things. I am most definitely a fan, again having played The Sims way back in 6th grade so I definitely have a right to my opinion as I’ve invested HUNDREDS of dollars into this entire franchise. “Arguing” may be a broad term, and should clarify. Me and my roommate only disagreed because she actually played Sims 3 and was ranting about there not being enough content. Since I didn’t play Sims 3, I couldn’t relate to the whole open world thing. However, yes, I miss PLENTY from Sims 2! So is this not ok? I should just lay down and accept any and everything they throw at us? Should never feel disappointed? It’s wrong of me that I care about the franchise and want this to be the best game of the series? This is wrong to feel passionate about what I believe? Yet you can sit there and attack me for feeling the way that I do, and coincidentally, I am NOT alone in the way that I feel! Again, had been rooting since day 1 for this game and only in the past couple of months have I become frustrated. Mainly due to the guru’s lying to us and making fun of us. When the info leaked on the gamepack, they shot it down saying it wasn’t true….. Hmmm it wasn’t? LOL I can’t. They are being very immature about us being “hungry” for news and I for one won’t be begging for info and will accept that’s just how this is now. You’re right, I could stop playing the game, but after already buying everything that’s come out for it, I’m not going to throw my money away after 2 years of playing something I’ve enjoyed. Only the last 2 months has been frustrating for me, so say what you will. I really won’t be spending anymore time on this subject with you. To each his own and I respect your feelings and opinions and only ask that you show me the same courtesy <3 All love. This really has nothing to do with the community, it's my feelings I am voicing about EA. And if you take a look on the forums, here or official, you will see more than just I is concerned about the lack of communication/promotion.

Bottom line, you are I or any other “fan” is entitled to anything other than the game we bought. This is a product, not a lifestyle. If you want the product you have to accept it on the terms that the company has laid out. You haven’t spent the money out of the goodness of your heart. You bought the Sims games because you wanted the product. If it no longer satisfies you, then you have the option to stop buying.
As far as their communication goes, again, it is human nature to avoid those that are negative, hostile, and demanding. This is true for individuals as well as companies that are made up of individuals. Many of the so called “fans” of the game are all or some of the above. And that is the reason there is so little attempt to communicate with the fan base.
And what is there to fight about (with your roommate or anyone else)? The game has different iterations and focus in each series. If you prefer one over the other so what? Play the one that you enjoy. I hated the Sims 3, but I didn’t find an issue with those that enjoyed it. I waited it out, and I am really enjoying the Sims 4. Again I wasn’t entitled to have what I wanted in the Sims 3, and I just waited to see what would happen with the Sims 4. It really is just that simple.

This ^. I couldn’t agree more. VERY disappointing. Even the patches are getting more lame too. I too turned a blind eye and kept cheering from the sidelines hoping this game would finally deliver to the ones bashing it all the time……….. Here we are at this current point in time and I feel like I am bashing the game. Funny how even the loyal ones can be swayed when they realize they are half assing the completion of this game. Maybe Game Packs are the new expansions because they clearly aren’t that important this time around.

THIS^^^ Enough with the random crap, and further flesh out the base game. The emotions system could use an adjustment in terms of duration, bigger maps (they did say they could make them as big as they wanted to…. Or have they forgotten they told us this?), and most definitely some more interactions. I also think, they need to stop worrying about all of this random crap they keep pulling and get to work on the things the community simply wants. I get they have their “ideas” but at the end of the day, wouldn’t they wanna just shut us up already so that they CAN work on their ideas and do it peacefully? So misdirected when both expansions were basically mashes of other expansions into one, which is fine, if done properly….. Case in point with them now looking at our saves to “improve” the retail section which we already wanted them to do since the release of Get To Work! Aye.

Ok first of all, just like you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine. What I am saying is this and this only. WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO INFORMATION. If money is being spent, that us the customer are continuing to give them, then in turn, the least we deserve is to be kept up to date. So many staple features are missing that EVERYONE feels the lack of. I won’t go into specifically what I have been wanting since the beginning (no it’s not toddlers) but have also been very, VERY patient this entire time the game has been out. After the last couple of months with the guru’s toying with us, basically laughing at us on the forums and taking the time to say things like “Don’t spread mis-information” well then MAYBE YOU SHOULD CORRECT SAID MIS-INFORMATION. That’s what my post was about. In all other past sims games, we had info on upcoming content MONTHS before it hit the market. I too have always considered Sims 4 to POTENTIALLY be the best in the series, but having only had 2 expansions since the game came out (and let’s be honest, all other sims games would be onto EP 4 by now) then color me fruitloops that I’m not pleased on the lack of content and information apart from the stuff packs which I actually do quite enjoy! So please don’t twist my post into something that it’s not. This was MY opinion and after spending HUNDREDS on this franchise, you bet your keester that I get to have a say on how something I am helping fund as a consumer. Again, have been VERY positive about this series for months and months since the inception of the game. Even going head to head with my roommie over her die hard love of the sims 3… Which i completely skipped! Also I’ve been as you quoted a “so called fan” since 6th grade. I’m going on 29…….. Next 🙂
