I’m actually going through this with a set of Sims Im playing.right now. They’re in a relationship but it took forever to happen bc every time my female Sim initates romantic stuff my male Sim basically blows her off 🙁

From the info given in the last stream these fireworks can be set to automatically go off. I think these are in battery canisters so our sims won’t have to light them like in TS3 and we’ll get a better fireworks show.

In TS3 you had to place about 20 fireworks on the ground to get a decent show. With an automatic canster we should get a much better show. In there is also the handheld streamers we can have our sims use as well.

My sims will be celebrating a proper New Year’s Eve now with fireworks.

Just like the option to move in pops up, how you want to modify the last names should pop up too, to fit the proper game play experience that people are custom to.

I think they should have a pop-up box or something though upon marriage giving the option to change or keep it so you don’t have to go in CAS to change it. It totally takes away from the game experience to me.

Don’t remember where, but I recall reading that the devs verified that the last name not automatically changing with marriage is deliberate, not a bug.

The base game has two utensil holders in completely different categories. It has sims that walk through walls and items that are colored blue and tagged as pink. None of it is probably going to get fixed. There’s always some weird crazy decision or mistake the team makes throughout all the games and it usually just stays that way.

I know. Is it really hard to fix small stuff like this? I’m concerned with the way the Sims4 game dev team work on stuffs. I hope this is because they are focusing on developing toddlers…

I don’t think the last name thing a bug or a mistake. In many cultures, last names don’t change automatically after marriage, you know. For example in Spain, the spouses keep their own last names, and in Finland you can keep your own or take your spouse’s last name, or even create a combination of both last names.

I like it that the name change isn’t forced. You can change the name in CAS very easily, after all.
