To me, toddler is a fun stage in a Sim’s life because it’s all about building relationships with the family without the stress of performing well at school/work/other obligations of later stages. Plus, it adds some challenge to parenthood, which is realistic.
But overall, Sims players are already so used to this life stage from previous games that without it, a Sim’s life feels incomplete. I know I felt there was something missing from my Sims’ life stories before TS3 University Life came out, because I was so used to have my teenage Sims go to college and kick it up for a couple semesters before they settled into adulthood, back in TS2. That’s how I feel without toddlers. It feels unnatural to have babies grow into school-aged children, it feels like part of the experience is missing, and that keeps me from enjoying family-style gameplay.

Still, the human power for developing the toilet can be re-allocated for developing functional elevators, no difference there. Yeah, it does seems like animations were being taken the easy route.

That tight budget is not a money budget – SimGuru Drake said it was a manpower budget. They they have just so many manpowers alloted to the each Guru, and the Guru’s that do animations, engineering, and programming jobs take the longest amount of time and use up their allotted man power budget because of the complexity and time it takes to do what they do. That is apparently the issue. But in my view if they need to add more programmers and animators to assure the jobs needing done get done. We can have tons of FX and artistic content but anything that calls for programming and it’s own animation may not get finished because it takes so long to do that work. But money budget apparently does not have an issue.

Why are they a joke? Because they dont have toddlers? Theres already alot of things in TS4 that isnt in the previous ones. What did you expect? For them to just remake the sims 3 with better graphics? Theyre doing different and new things with the sims 4, if you dont like it, keep playing sims 3. Saying this is an “absolute joke” makes you sound dramatic, there are games out there that are definitely ridiculous, this isnt one of them.
