Exactly! It seems they don’t realize that the players of the game are more excited and impressed by gameplay and not just how the background looks. As I watched the live streams I became increasingly irritated. It drove me crazy that they kept stressing that there is no load screen to go to the festival. So basically, there’s no load screen to go outside!!! Ok, thanks. IMO, itt seems like the most exciting thing about this pack is the food and that’s just sad.

It can be nice if you have a blog and use screenshots to tell a story true…. but without the ability to edit and create there’s only so much even story tellers can do with this.

I feel like the team has forgotten what this game is for us – a tool to create a world and stories we want. I always viewed the sims less like a video game and more like a tool to create stories. Not with ts4 though…

Yeah, I feel like there was a ton of attention and detail placed on aesthetics for this EP but less on gameplay. I’m still gonna get the EP, buy it’s less of an EP to me and more like one of the store worlds from ts3.

Just for clarification: they say “penthouseS”, so that means more than one, right? I feel they keep showing the same penthouse in their overviews.

I think those who want to make stories generally won’t be bored. Most of possibilities to create your own stuff has been removed (you can’t make your own city world, place skyscrapers, festivals, etc.), but If someone wants to make nice pictures of their Sims with the skyline in the background, at the top of penthouse, walking through flea market, etc., things with little gameplay but at least animations, that’s what’s there at least. I still think they’ll get fed up with it after week or month of gameplay anyway, though.
