So, would it be possible to purchase the Steam Sims 3 base game + an expansion pack or 2, and then move my other expansion packs over from Origin to Steam?

I don’t see a reason why you shouldn’t. Though I don’t think you would be able to install both versions at the same time, but I am not 100% sure about it.

I know this sounds like I want my cake and eat it too but would you still be able to play these on steam if you redeemed them in origin?

I’m not sure if you can buy the packs without having the base game purchased on steam because they appear in the same place in your library but whatever you buy you can add to origin by redeeming them.

As of one of the last couple ridiculous and more harmful than beneficial patches you do need all packs on the same origin account to even access them so I’d try to keep as many together as possible.

I don’t know anything about steam, could someone tell me a little bit? I have two TS3 packs that are on a different origin account so I was thinking of repurchasing them
