Thank you so much!!!! I have been on the phone with useless EA tech support all day, have nearly ruined my computer with their suggestions, and all along it was this wretched update. The old version works perfectly. Thank you again and for anyone else wondering this is the solution.

My launcher Welcome screen is now white with
“The website cannot display the page
Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.”

Is anyone having the problem of when you try loading up origin it won’t even launch? It’ll just be stuck loading? This is getting super frustrating since I’m starting school next week and just wanted to relax and play The Sims before I’ll be too busy for it. I hope we get a fix for this soon.

the solution for me was, uninstall visual c ++ 15, install important windows updates. download visual c ++ 15 but from microsoft page. (it should download I have installed x64 and x86) and ready. I have windows 7

Hey, for anyone having issues, search for a website called Up to Down. Make sure you select Windows in the side bar, then enter ‘Origin’ in the search bar. It’ll take you to previous versions of the Origin client that you can re-download. I was able to get it work for now by doing this. It seems a lot of people are having issues with the new update, and hopefully they fix it soon. Rolling back the version at least lets me play my game.

I’ve been having the same issues with the new update, I have called origin and they had me try all of their ‘steps’ and nothing worked, I gave them all of the error messages I encountered with trying their ‘steps’ and after 30 mins on the phone I was told that quite a few people have been having this issue also and that the ‘experts’ are looking in to this
