well as far as I know it hasn’t happened yet and so the Sims franchise won’t have a leading competitor or have A competitor unless you decide to become one. obviously anyone can make a game like the sims but as you can see there isn’t anyone who has the right qualities to make it because if they did, it would have already happened…

No it won’t take 17 years to do something equally good or better. There is shotton of new MOBAS that are quite popular and they didn’t need nearly 10 years for such advancement like LoL. You can’t compare that Sims needed 17 years for evolution when it started being developed BEFORE THIS CENTURY.

It’s like saying no company can do RPG game to compete with Witcher III because it took CD Projekt Red around 10 years to come here. Engines evolve, people can be inspired. What you need is good programmers, good designers, good idea and people with good creativity and you can make good competitor to The Sims within 2 years right now.

It’s not an easy thing to do, The Sims is the first and only game of it’s kind and it took them 17 years to get where they are now, it’ll take another company just as long.

The solution is to fix what they have, Will Wright was the genius behind this game and ever since he left the series has suffered a very sizable hole.

An its time again for someone to create a similar stimulation game to give Sims4 competition. I wish I could. Sims4 producers are becoming to comfortable.

When the Sims got big, it started being milked. Sims 1 started putting out expansions because people wanted more and were willing to pay; Sims 2 got branded content and the Sims 2 Store and preorder items with every EP; Sims 3 came with day one DLC and even more shameless branded content and preorder items and a Store even more ridiculous than before.

With all its Stuff Packs, Game Pack and Expansions, they’re milking Sims 4, too. I won’t even do the thing I do where I defend the Sims 4 because of all the reasons I hate Sims 3 and how Sims 4 is doing better. It’s true, they want to squeeze all the money they can. It’s what happens when small gaming titles that become big successes.

But I think we can all say at least Atari never bought the Sims.
