If you notice at the end they have the rolling rack with clothes on it and push it aside. They have a couple winks at the Laundry Stuff pack, but we’ve already seen that pack and have been involved on the development of it, so I had expected not to see much about it. Though if I didn’t know, I would just think this was the Pets EP advertisement.

I’m bummed that it seems they didn’t include an holiday content updates. Usually every year they enhance and add in a piece or two to the holiday collection, but doesn’t seem that’s the case this time.

OK but both TS4 EPs and GPs have less content than TS3 EPs. So even if they didn’t increase their workforce for TS4, with 1 GP and 1 EP per year they’re still objectively releasing less content than before. And this is not even counting all the Store content, which outpaces SPs, and includes Store worlds which are mini-EPs in themselves.

The reason sims 3 EPs were released every 6 months is because they had two teams each creating one a year. Now they have a team working on GPs instead. Fair enough if people want them to create new teams so we have more packs released in a year but it still takes 9 months to create a GP and 1 year to create an EP. I was just referring to the reality of the situation we have now based on the number of teams they have, not some hypothetical of what could be possible if they hired more people.

I hate to keep bringing up old games, but The Sims 3 released EPs 6-7 months apart, and any TS3 EP had more gameplay than your average TS4 EP. In-between EPs, they released Stuff Packs and loads of store content. TS2 EPs were also spaced by about 6 months. TS4 EPs take over 1 year to come out, GPs, which are smaller, 9 months… TS4 is in fact, taking more time to create content than most Simmers are used to, hence the backlash. Which is a little surprising since they say they have independent teams working on EPs, GPs and SPs.

More packs doesn’t equal more content; stuff packs are notoriously bare but yet imply a great deal of marketing costs. Moreover, the content Sims fans are talking about is meaningful content that brings us new gameplay options (like an EP or a GP) and not new chairs 😉 Therefore too many packs + not enough content is not as contradictory as it may seem.

This comes out in November not in December or on Christmas.

We already got our two game packs this year along with a few stuff packs too. The sims team don’t work at the pace we want them too pumping out content constantly every other month.
