Yes, Marty. The sims were ugly and all looked the same in TS3. Whereas the sims in TS2 had a spark and they felt alive. The way they would look at you and gesture to say something, as if looking at you through the screen. This is why I’ll always love TS2 the most, because out of all versions, TS2 actually evolved the game and added new innovations. It’s gone downhill ever since.

I hear you, though. I mean, sure, there are definitely things that TS4 does well, but some very big, great features are missing that would really make the game great, like CASt. Oh what I wouldn’t give to get real landscaping back, too. Open world, yes, but I wouldn’t want a fully open world like in TS3, though. In TS4, neighborhoods are open, but there’s still a loading screen going into different lots within the same neighborhood, which I think is ridiculous; neighborhoods should be fully open at least, with no loading screens between lots that reside in the same neighborhood.

I hope with the next itetation in the franchise, they make the game great again.

I love the versatility and the color schematics! I wonder if you made the objects with buffs like the laundry soap and some of the objects interact able , or i it is only buy and build objects that are static. I am still excited for the pack either way but just thought i would throw my two (scents) : 3 In there lol

It looks really nice, but i really hate that stacking carpets. I mean you can do that manually with the separated carpets! t’s redundant and unnecessary!

@Wendy MidnightPearl Simmer. I have a distant memory of having an infinite choice of designs and colour options for anything in the game. CAStyle, I think it was called. Back in those days, we didn’t rely on modders. We had the ability to do it ourselves in the game. Then they dumbed down the game, eliminated countless features we expected it to have. Instead, they took away the heart of the game and left an empty shell. Sure, it looks pretty and it’s wrapped in a pretty bow, but it’s half the game it used to be. Any freedom to create we had was gone. In TS2 the sims had hair that moved and flowed. In TS4, we have solid hair that looks like clay. To be honest, this latest idea is good, but if you look closely, you’ll notice many rehashed items, like bars or counters. Every bar they make is basically the same. The same shapes, what’s behind the bar is used over and over. You mean they can’t even be bothered to make new bars, with new skins? They’re pixels, it’s not like it costs a fortune for them to make a new item for the game. Just a little effort. Sadly, effort is the last thing given to TS4. We’ve been given a game that went backwards and didn’t evolve, like any new version of a game should do. So, we’re supposed to be happy to overpay for half a game, filled with new versions of items that look the same? I loved this game so much, but they ruined it. And, the worst part is, I keep buying the damn game. It’s like I keep hoping CAStyle will return. Or, having the ability to raise and lower the lot, or make a pond. That feature was in the original! Didn’t computers advance since then? The game sure didn’t.

Yes, I do like some of the Pets CAS offerings! 🙂 They and the vet career are really the only reason I’m planning on buying the Pets expansion, eventually, since the pets themselves really aren’t my thing. As for the “eco living”-turned-Laundry pack, I know what was voted for and have seen the sketches but I am reserving judgment until I see them actualized as game content. I hope they show them soon!
