Honestly, the animations are so repetitive and the animals have such a limited interaction with the world it doesn’t make it worth it. Could have been so much better. Cats still can’t sleep in the sink, they can’t walk along or sit on fences. Seriously, these are all real cat behaviors!

Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize 3 interactions and 4 animations were better than 0 interactions and 1 animation! How do the math?

Ah yes I remember my town actually being alive where sims were actually going places in their cars, and it wasn’t just randomly generated FX vehicles driving about that are enlarged versions of the toy cars! It’s so much better having your sim take two steps out of their house and vanish into thin air rather than follow your sim to their building of work! I forgot a place that doesn’t even exist is so much better than a rabbit hole!

Doesn’t count as animations, even if they’re TS3 exclusive.

Sims 4 animations are stellar I have to say, better even than Sims 2.

I’m not saying Sims 3, because basically everything there is copy from Sims 2.

While I do like the bit of interaction with birds in Sims 4, the seagulls, (esp if you are somewhat up close), look like a badly cut cardboard cutout. 🙁

Open world DID work. I quite enjoyed it. 😛
Sims 3 worlds with all exp & stuff pks, & all Store content, never took me 5 minutes to load. It was 2 minutes at most. O.o
Nor did I have “constant crashes”.

For me, It did have occasional lag if Sims or Pets were stuck/tried to go places they couldn’t. That’s why some worlds like IP needed to be fixed up, before playing. You can’t have doors or objects in bad places like it did for IP. (My favorite world, but whomever created it, didn’t test it well. Esp underwater caves).
Recolor tool didn’t lag my game either, once I got a decent graphics card. (Only when I added around 10+ GB CC did I have some lag while roaming through buy mode/recolor tool).
I also play (modded) Minecraft,
(with Texture Packs & High Shaders – not a fan of vanilla versions), and Ark SE.
* They are open worlds, and both have “Creative Mode”.
Though I have never modded my special ed Skyrim.
(seemed like too much of a hassle, so I never did it)
I have a lot of games, but my favs, for PC, are games of open worlds…

the options are not fully-featured bird or low-quality render. they could’ve just made the things look GOOD. same goes for the ball pit. the pet beds. there are areas of ts4 where the quality control is not there, and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

I don’t disagree with you on content and quality. It’s lacking for sure. My comment is only about people who (based on their comments) turn into Chicken Little if a next announcement isn’t made as soon as the latest pack has been released.
