Because there are puddles EVERYWHERE after it rains in my game. The dev team specifically said in the livestream that they didn’t want to do power outages because they wanted thunderstorms to be more fun than a burden, but there is a chance of individual appliances blowing. However, I like your idea of being able to choose for ourselves how serious we want storms in our own game. Personally, I don’t want that, but I understand completely how some people might, especially in a game that doesn’t have very many unexpected inconveniences.
