I wasn’t one to rent games either.
(But that’s all goes down to preferences.)

I also noticed the “On the House” was removed a few days ago, (because I had it always bookmarked, and occasionally check it).
But now that same link redirects to the Origin Access (that I have ZERO interest in).

I found a Chat, that someone publicly posted on reddit, claiming an EA person answered with :
“right now origin on the house services are closed by EA.”…….
(I’m only posting that tiny part, since it can easily be found under google.)
So I guess the EA “freebies” are over, lol.
Most of my games are bought anyway. Only a handful are free from EA, and Uplay.
But I really did appreciate the handful of the free games. 🙂
(Especially the Plants Vs Zombies.GOTY Ed, and Dragon Age. I was able to buy the expansion for DA for only $5 when they emailed me a special promotion price.)

They aren’t any current games on the house, but the tab in Origin is still there. Give it a month or two, something new will be on there. Also what they are doing is a smart business move. If they do it right they can use the money from the new Origin access tier and use that to give games a better budget. There is a chance they won’t in that case shame of them but let’s see of this improves anything. We know EA as a company is trying to change somethings up and be more transparent so let’s see what they do.
