This is nothing new we had this terrain tool in Sims 2 why didn’t they put it in Sims 4 when it was first released. Now they are trying to put all the animations from previous games back into the Sims 4 and package it like it is something new.

that’s because terrain tools are more for builders instead of the players. I use them in 3 ALL the time to build hillside houses etc…

I think this would look a lot more impressive in a place like Windenburg, not Willow Creek. But the potential is quite nice.

This is a fantastic and, if I’m being honest, long overdue addition. I can already see though that people will be complaining that there appears to be no water tool included with this so we’ll be stuck with unnatural looking fountains and pools for our on-lot water bodies still.

The only thing I used terrain tools for in Sims 3 was for ponds to fish at home. In 2 it was only to create a custom beach. I never felt the lack of them in 4 mattered as it caused routing problems and lag. With things already iffy in Sims 4 with all DLC installed, especially with Seasons and City Living, things will only get worse.
