In May of 2016 they did an Origin Update, and several of my packs that I had bought from eBay were deactivated. EA said it was due to chargebacks and threatened to deactivate my whole account if any more were found. It was crazy!! I ended up re-buying them all through Steam when they had a HUGE sale. Steam is listed as one of their authorized sellers (CD Keys is not on that list, so I, Personally, will not buy any games through them). This happened to MANY, MANY people. In my case, my gamepacks had been activated and I had been playing them for several months, then, Origin updated in May, and BOOM they were gone! Many others had been playing for much longer.

And people can use it because, the game uses language settings from origin.
