I mean, why have things changed so much in terms of announcements? I remember TS3 seasons was announced in either July or August of 2012 and released in November… Get famous was announced in Oct and out in Nov.. What is the rational here? Is the intent of quarterly teasers and early announcements not to build hype? I just dont get it. These droughts in content result in such a lack of interest. I used to check SimsVIP regularly, now I check in once or twice a month. It’s incredibly disappointing.

I’ve played The Sims since TS1 and have never felt such a lack of investment by the developers in the series as I do with TS4.

It makes me sad to see simmers still tuning into useless maxis monthly’s hoping for new content. It makes me sad to see developers seem far more interested in bickering with the community than creating content or get excited about the game along with us as was the case in the past.

She said that the dev team was one of the ‘hardest working teams out there’ and that they were ‘incredibly passionate’. I’m sorry Kate, but if the producers want to prevent burnout and stop engineers from being ‘chained to their desks’ then maybe they need more engineers. I don’t want to hear any more about ‘passion projects’.

It takes away from the impact and (personally) looks as if someone just went off. Doesn’t the sims team have a blog or something? Use Twitter as an intro paragraph with the link. I know social media is is the in thing, but it doesn’t always give off a professional vibe.
