They’re not really reassuring the modders, they’re in fact reassuring the players who have CC they use and love and would rather choose to not buy the pack to avoid loosing their beloved CC. By saying that’s it’s ‘oh so easy!’ to repair the CC for suntan lines they want to avoid the leaving customers and loosing sales.

What I said very well has a lot to do with what was discussed. It’s a fact that Maxis often uses the “We’re not sure if this or that would be possible because of performance issues” while modders simply add it, contrary to what you said. In fact, I’ve never seen it being the other way round.

Also, how was I whining? Do you mind pointing out the parts to me were I apparently sounded like an “ingrate brat who wants to hear my voice to be heard” (whatever that’s supposed to mean)? I mean, since I seem to be too dense to realise it.

Don’t put words in my mouth and learn how to articulate yourself toward others before degrading someone.

First of all, this has nothing to do with what was being discussed, so you’re just whining to whine.

Secondly, of course modders are creating content that isn’t in the game already. That’s why modders exist. And there’s more modders than there are developers for the game, and the modders aren’t bound to any time schedule and can do whatever they want, where the developers are on a schedule and bound by a priority list.

Just because modders created something before Maxis released the official version doesn’t mean that Maxis did anything wrong. Plenty of players don’t use mods, so the only version they get is the official version and those players are grateful for the pack releases. You’re just being an ingrate.

You’re sounding like a whiny brat who wants to hear their voice be heard. And now that I’ve heard it, I don’t need to hear it again.

Yeah, I got that already. In what reality, though?
How many times have modders added stuff that already should’ve been in the base game long before Maxis? Also, reputation system, surnburns (with long lasting consequences) and being able to gain fame was in mods long before Get Famous and Island Living was a thing. And don’t get me started on how many mods there are that are fixes for bugs that have been in the game since forever (but Maxis either doesn’t care or is simply too inept to fix them).
