To be honest I also don’t like new gardening. It became way too easier to take care of lots of plants. It was really hard work before and it felt more realistic for me.

Plant evolution to perfect takes more than one sim lifetime; merging no longer generates a new plant giving you hybrids that seldom contain the new items… fish are near worthless, sturgeon used to sell for 2-3k, now 300 at best… all fish are everywhere… not to mention festivals, produce stand and the new bait shop making it all pointless you can just buy out your collection

I’m sure a mod will come out for it. I for one don’t like the mermaid plumbob at all, like what the hell is that ring around it lol. I’m hoping someone can come out with a better one.

Keep the TS4 Plumbbob as it is, I don’t want it to change TS3 style plumbbob. If they want to change it, there’s always TS5!

Have to keep in mind, TS4 was never an actual game. The Olympus MMO was the game, TS4 has always just been a salvage project to reclaim the development investment.
Everything since the MMO died has just been a frantic effort to make the Sims fans pay for the very game they refused to support. The execution was really, really bad; but it was a shoestring budget salvage op, not a real project to start with.

Oh no… I just realized something, if the logo changes… Will the in-game plumbob change too???

I can handle the desktop icon change, I’ll just remove the icon from my desktop and start the game in Origin…. But I don’t wanna see that in my game 🙁

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to override plumbobs in-game just in case they actually put this in?

I have one complaint about the gardening revamp – I liked the flower faces that displayed the plant’s status. I miss them. 🙁
