I completely agree with everything said, the sims 4 could be such a great game. Giving us content with no depth doesn’t make a great game. It ends up being all the same. If the game had more life in it, it would be so much more.

I think you’ve made excellent points and would like the team to consider them all either for TS4 or perhaps the future as it would bring the game to a new level and excel our ability to create more exciting gameplay.

But still, I love the Sims Medieval a lot and definitely agree with the points here!

I hope your words will arrive EA! Agree with everything! Miss the dynamic gameplay from Sims 3 and Sims 4 is often boring so I play Sims 2 or Sims 3 for a while.

And I agree with all your points raised. I am a huge fan of the sims, and has been playing for 20 years….. I agree and wish for more game play dynamics. Since I am religious, it would be fantastic to have that in the game, it need not be a precise denomination, but if we don’y have to pretend, so much the better.
I would like more negative traits too. I do not like to play with too many mods (too much of a hassle when the game gets updated), so I would like that to be part of the game. And story progression was the most fun thing in sims 3 for me, I wish for that in sims 4 too.

Thank you again for a well written article.

A lot of interesting ideas listed here. It would be great to get some more progression into this game. Seasons added a little bit, by having the passing seasons and holidays to look forward to. Parenthood added a little progression as well. But the game is so focused on young adult I think. The teens get glossed over and so do the later stages of life. I hope they somehow enhance these in the future!

At the end of the day, Sims pretty much act the same no matter what the traits. Mean sims aren’t really that mean, except for two second outbursts every now and then.
