I am so hoping for Farming with horses and livestock. More open lots would be awesome. But oh well one can hope.

I’m really not understanding why they made this an EP. It seems more like a focused story you play once (like Strangeville) and not an actual Expansion to the game. I repeat this should’ve been a GP.

Are they going to add cars to help pollute the environment, I doubt it.

Geez, how long do we have to wait for the next EP? When are we going to see vehicles and music bands? 🙁

In addition to candlemaking, there will be the ability to produce, drink and sell those fizzy juice drinks. The market sellers seemed also, in one of the renders, to be selling jars and cans, which could imply preserving or making some kind of eco-friendly or healthy food too in addition to the juice-making or brewing (or whatever activity this represents). The blog post also mentioned “upcycling” so maybe there will be a refurbishing skill as well. So that’s at least three potential crafts/ hobbies/ skills in one pack, to add to the various staple hobbies/ skills in the basegame (gardening, handiness, painting, music, fishing etc).

But imagine if they had added a metal-working skill to this pack too, so that sims could make art pieces, jewellry, utility objects etc rather than those bland-looking cubes made out of garbage. I would also love to have pottery-making, sewing and nectar making back from the previous games, although I would not necessarily expect such activities in a seemingly urban environmentalist sort of pack. I am torn between wishing for another Freetime (absolutely one of my favourite Sims 2 EPs) or a hobbies gamepack, which could include more activities and interests.

That was the only silver lining of this pack for me.

With Sims being a sandbox game, it’s a little bit frustrating how The Sims 4 often tends to adopt a gameplay style that only allows for one “approved” course of action. For example, the dystopic future of TS3 Into the Future was fun to play with.

As for candlemaking, anybody else really hate how they’re spreading craftables across several DLCs? My sims desperately need stuff to do, and I have loved Sim craftables/collectibles since the days of TS2 Open for Business, but in order to have most of them you have to buy several lackluster packs.
