It was one of those features that was designed with the expansion in mind. Bigger updates gets bored people playing again and curious about vaguely related but mostly soulless DLC. They did it last year with the environmental item unlocks, fishing updates etc., and they did it again this year. They just withheld months of updates so they could conflate the features with Ecoli.

They still haven’t released the Knitting Stuff Pack nor have any info regarding the next Game Pack so I doubt we’ll get any news regarding the Farming EP

Not surprised. At the rate they are going with these packs, I wouldn’t announce anything at a big game show. How embarrassing would it be to announce “Nifty Knitting” at a game show? Especially for someone who’s a casual gamer or only knows of The Sims in passing, hearing that as the next pack isn’t something that would make ANYONE want to play the game. I could say the same for Eco Lifestyle, that had barely ANY attention after it was released. They need to take a step back and start re-evaluating their choices in what packs they would release. But, you know, it’s been six years since TS4 came out. They sure as hell aren’t going to do it.

It’s been announced for a while. At this stage it’d just be showcasing a knitting pack at a major gameshow, which admittedly isn’t much better.

Just give us the Sims5 already!!! Because we haven’t learned from 3 and 4!!!! Please raid my wallet for more under-delivering games infused with ideological slants!!!! I’m calling it right now; if it’s online…FOLKS SIMS ARE GONNA be hacked BIG TIME!! I can just hear the complaints now. “my sim was out on a date and suddenly they had a bladder fail and insta-dirty!!!”
