Western consumerism, sure.

There’s no meaningful difference from a town based on the east coast in the sims to a town set in the southern swamps to the los Angeles inspired town. I really don’t think the sims will ever do much beyond base stereotypes. I don’t know for sure if i ever need it to.

Its great that we have Chinese, Indian and Japanese clothing/items but there is more to the world than half a continent that Maxis has represented [poorly] in every single one of their games.

And when they are represented its like the most insensitive caricature of the culture. Pre-World Adventures Maxis MO was cultural jokes and stereotypes. Still is but now its more unironic stereotypical portrayals
