I first thought Tuesday July 13th, but I also thought maybe Thursday July 15th (today).

The entire game, well most aspects of it, are indeed beaming with unmet potential.

It’s like you said in another comment, and which I’ve been saying too – limited budget/resources, cramped deadlines, top-heavy, devs making questionable decisions, money poorly spent, profits going elsewhere, etc.

Like, on the one hand, I want to believe they have taken feedback and criticism to heart, and TS5 will be much better, a proper Sims game. On the other hand, I fear it might be more of the same.

Every time I see a half-baked feature or a deco object that should’ve been functional, I have to thank the CC and modding community for still keeping me sane. Like, we can brew tea already since the game’s release, why can’t any of the tea-sets be usable (even if, ugh, just like the drink trays)? Especially in the god damn British pack??? We still need to manually increase/decrease with arrows how much stuff we want to get when buying through pop-up menus instead of typing it in like in 3. Even a summer intern could change that in their lunch break why was this never changed?

I am just so frustrated about how great this game could be despite its set limitations from ye olde social multiplayer days. It makes tonnes of money. It could make heck tonnes more with some extra, much needed TLC. Why does it have to be the community that does what EAin’t funding…?

Player-created ponds, on the other hand, will be of varying depths, sloping, angles, heights, sizes, etc. If they allowed Sims to swim in them, it would be a major clipping fest, or routing nightmare.

I get so frustrated with the worlds in this game. So much unmet potential. Honestly, the worlds are beautiful, and also pretty ‘big’, but so little of it is actually routable/playable/buildable space, the majority just being fake or unroutable.
