How is that supposed work? Origin is a system requirement to install/play Sims 4. The steam version requires it too

Then they will make it Origin only for 5 years only going to Steam when their player base dies so they can give people an incentive to repurchase the base game on a different platform except they continue to hold a monopoly on pricing and force valve to run concurrent % sales with them.

I think its also a minority of players that want that dollhouse. I mean House Flipper, the Singles franchise, playboy mansion and other such dollhouse life sims exist. Only difference is they are extremely vocal on the topic. Just because a group shouts the loudest doesn’t make them the majority.

There are plenty of non-Sims games that cater to occult style gaming. I think this is a minority of players for the Sims anyway. Most of us want that sandbox dollhouse that the first version of the game delivered.

This is EA preparing Simmers for the always-online DRM in Sims 5. Since you can’t opt-out, and the content is ultimately patched in later this service serves nothing more than to penalize people who play offline.
