The team is also adamant that the lack of an end-of-year EP in 2021 had nothing to do with Kits, that they don’t affect the development of other packs. We’ll have to wait and see. If this year brings only one EP as well, then I will start to doubt their word on it.

We’re definitely due some gameplay after this dry spell of a year we’ve had. Which is why a GP might actually be a better choice than a SP, provided of course that it’s properly meaty. I do get the frustration with Kits. They’ve been mostly cosmetic and way too expensive. The missing November EP hasn’t helped any, that’s for certain.

I personally like EPs most and looking forward to them. Also if the theme of the EP is not something for me, then it means I’m not getting any significant new gameplay at all. This is what makes people sad, including me.
Also in my opinion SPs are better than kits but now they are becoming more rare.

Seriously, though? That’s the whole point of the comment section, if someone is frustrated with the game they have a right to post about it. If everyone who doesn’t like the game anymore leaves without a word, then The Sims Team is left with a bunch of yes-men and they can just merrily clap each other on the back and pretend nothing is wrong. I wish more people who are unhappy with the direction things are going would speak up. Not that it would help much, but still.

The past road maps were relevant for a time span of about three months. That would be January through March for the current one, or perhaps February through April. EPs usually happen in early summer, therefore an EP not being mentioned does not mean, we’ll have to do without one this year. The missing SP is, admittedly, a bit of a bummer. Getting a GP instead isn’t too awful, though. I’ll live. So will you, probably. Also, the Kits aren’t replacing anything. Not like it happened last year. This time, they actually appear to be extra. Going by the road map, the next three months are going to be well-stuffed with new content.

Now, personally, a romance pack isn’t my speed at all. But I know for a fact, that a lot of other people are into it and have asked for this. The overall reception is going to be good, especially so, if they’ve remembered to include chemistry, sitting (and remaining seated) wedding guests and slow dancing/couple dancing… which, I’m not holding my breath for. Experience has taught me better.
