Actually there is A china freepack last time, and it’s a really good costume and objects too!

India also got its kit really nicely last time, I really love the new, really authentic trousers, that comes with Fashion Street.

Please make a Southeast Asian inspired pack, like Thai, Balinese, the flower and the beach… those are beautiful. Russia would be nice too with the loghouses and chicken decor, Greek with the Mykonos cavehouse, etc. Go culture!

I honestly wonder if this is meant to be prep for LNY. Its honestly the only thing that makes sense with the choice of cultural garbs.

I’m also sorta annoyed that these are of the “replaces shoes” outfits, would have loved to try and see if I could work it with other cultural garbs or ways to “modernize” but still appreciate the culture

Why can’t just Origin just check for deliveries everyday just like with updates and automatically update your game with content when-ever needed.

I’ve been pushing for Asian content on the sims 3 forums way before supernatural ep came out, and it’s honestly so annoying that they’re putting in free packs, and not even listening to their Asian players from around the world, they have a tone load of korean players, a few of them are actually kpop idols (take taeyeon from girls generation to name a few) but instead they only really listen to their white audience from the USA and western Europe at the most. And it’s honestly despicable of them to do so when they have a multi-global audience, and a lot of that audience being poc too and it’s frustrating that they just don’t listen to them.

The design on the right is typically what young boys would wear rather than grown men would in Korea for new years, or back when they still used to wear traditional outfits before western fashion took off in both North and South Korea. So the outfit they used would be alright for child male sims but not so much for adult male sims. And for the female it’s mostly right but the pattern on the underneath of the sleeves isn’t used at all in any sort of hanbok either. But nearly all ages of women in Korea would wear that hanbok, for toddlers it would be different though.

I would be careful turning it off. I did this and any creations made on the gallery after the update I got a message saying “this was made using the new update, please update to download” or something to that effect. I had to update to be able to download things from the gallery even though the family I was downloading wasn’t using anything from the update…..

Sorry I don’t know much about the culture and like to learn, why is the design on the right bad? I agree though, representation is always great. Im half Venezuelan and it was nice to see Hallacas added to the menu system a couple of months ago.

Nope. Even if you turn off SDX updates the content gets added in the next full patch after their release.
